How much of my £5 actually goes to Africa?

Currently we can build a school for just under £50,000. There are many factors that affect this: exchange rate (can vary by 10%), the cost of goods in Africa etc. We will provide full information on the cost of the school closer to the time.

Our aim is that each full £5 will go to Africa. We estimate that 50% of our donors will gift aid, giving us on average 70p extra.

Paypal will take around 27p per £5 donation (we will ask them to give some back at the end) but they are the cheapest for online donations.

The rest we are using for the website, some admin and spreading the word.
